Supporting Film Productions

Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) and the Cayman Islands Film Commission (CIFC) play distinct but complementary roles in supporting the growth of the jurisdiction’s film and media sector.

CEC helps globally focused creative businesses establish and operate a genuine physical presence in the Cayman Islands. CIFC is a Cayman Islands Government entity established to support productions seeking to film on location by facilitating short-term permits, government coordination, production guidance, and access to local resources.

Support available through CIFC includes:

  • Location guidance and destination information

  • Information on local production services and resources

  • Guidance on filming permits and licensing

  • Assistance navigating temporary work permit requirements

  • Guidance on the temporary importation of production equipment

  • Connections to local crew, talent, and service providers

  • Travel and logistics guidance through its strategic partnership with Cayman Airways

  • Cash rebate programmes for qualifying productions
